St Martin’s Place fully let as Inner City Golf swings into town

Golf enthusiasts in Birmingham city centre will be able to play some of the best courses in the world with just a quick stroll around the corner.

Commercial agents Siddall Jones have let 4 St Martin’s Place to Inner City Golf, a golfing simulator experience.

The deal means that the retail space at St Martin’s Place, just off Broad Street, is now fully let with Siddall Jones having let all five retail units within months of the development completing.

The news comes after Siddall Jones’s recent announcement that it had acquired the retail agency division of property consultancy Centrick.

St Martin’s Place is billed by developers Seven Capital as Birmingham’s most exclusive residential apartment development of 228 apartments with access to hotel-style services, including a 24 hour concierge, gym, private cinema, wifi lounge and private outdoor terrace.

Ed Siddall-Jones, managing director of Siddall Jones, said: “Broad Street appears to be in transition with a number of notable residential developments being completed and under construction.

“The area is starting to reaffirm its position, once again, as a destination area for the leisure industry. As the leisure sector bounces back from COVID, its evident trends have changed and we are seeing people now taking part in leisure and more immersive-based activities.

“We are really pleased to have secured Inner City Golf, and as a keen golfer myself, I look forward to tackling some of the world’s leading courses without the expense of flights and hotel stays!”

Inner City Golf has taken Unit 4, St Martin’s Place, on a ten year lease at £19,000 a year, and is due to open in September, with bookings being taken from August.

The brainchild of business partners Valerie Lewis and Wesley Ward, Inner City Golf allows from one to five players to tackle some of the world’s top golf courses, including St Andrews, Pebble Beach, Royal Troon, Wentworth and Albany in the Bahamas where Tiger Woods hosts the Hero Golf Challenge.
